The dates for farmers market in MAY are Barnard Castle 4th (1st Saturday), Orton 11th (2nd Saturday), Stainton 18th (third Saturday), Brampton 25th (last Saturday), Kendal 31st (last Friday) and the day after Barnard Castle 1st (1st Saturday).
Mail order delivery dates for May and June are Thursday 9th and 23rd May and 6th or 13th June.
Dexter Beef
Our Dexter beef comes from cattle born, bred and reared on our upland Cumbrian farm. They grow slowly on a grass diet, conserved as silage and hay for the winter, so they take longer to finish than would be the case on a more commercial farm, but the benefit is a mature tasty meat full of flavour. This is enhanced by dry aging the carcase for a minimum of 3 weeks before it's cut and packed in our small on-farm butchery.
