Where To Buy

One of our aims when we decided to build our own slaughterhouse and cutting plant on the farm was to minimise food miles. In line with this we set up Deer & Dexter to sell the venison and Dexter beef we produce either to customers living, holidaying or just passing through the beautiful county of Cumbria, and also by mail order.

To order please visit our online shops by clicking on the navigation bar. If you can't find the item you would like to buy please email us, we are adding items normally only sold at our farmers markets as quickly as we can!

Buying from the farm
We are happy to prepare orders for collection from the farm, but please do order first and agree a convenient time to collect as we don’t have a shop as such and it is a working farm. Orders can be placed using the online shop or email, if you want us to call you please leave a message and we'll get back to you. Due to Covid-19 we will have procedures in place so that orders can be collected in line with social distancing guidelines.

Changes due to Covid-19
Due to Covid-19 we have decided the sensible and responsible thing to do is not to attend any markets.  We need to protect our staff and ourselves, not just for our sake, our livestock depend on us.
As a result we will focus on supplying orders. These can either be sent out by courier, delivered locally, or, we hope, very soon we will have distribution hubs set up based on our various farmers markets.

For deliveries to Cumbria postcodes only we have reduced our carriage charge to £8 and the cut off point for free delivery has been reduced to £80.
